Splice 5280 is seeking a dependable Fiber Splicer to support construction, maintenance, testing, and restoration work. You will work in the field with a focus on clean workmanship, accurate records, and safe decisions.
What you'll do
- Perform single-fiber and ribbon splicing for outside-plant and inside-plant projects.
- Complete OTDR testing, power-meter testing, labeling, and closeout documentation.
- Read work orders, follow network standards, and communicate clearly with the project team.
- Support emergency restoration and maintenance assignments when needed.
- Maintain company equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a safe, professional condition.
What we're looking for
- A minimum of one year of hands-on fiber splicing experience and comfort working independently in the field.
- Working knowledge of fusion splicers, OTDRs, power meters, and fiber documentation.
- A safety-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and reliable communication.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work outdoors in changing conditions.
- Relevant fiber, safety, or manufacturer certifications are welcome.
